Weight change is not the only issue
Although metal is lighter than tile, a conversion still requires correct batten spacing, fixing, bracing, flashings and compliance. The existing roof shape may also affect material choice.

Structural or material changes, planning controls and property conditions can affect approval needs. Confirm the pathway before ordering materials or removing the old roof.
